In this case it is an accounting program, which my father and one of my brothers did. Micro Bit (although they both used the name "Micro Bit" and "Micro Byt" [...]) was not a commercial company, but rather the programs that my father and my older brother made and that they used at home, although some of them ended up in some school or work of my father, probably. One of the anecdotes that my father always explained was that he made a program on the Spectrum to make pools, taking into account statistics from previous games. He always did the pool with that program and he never got any big prizes (hits of 6 or 7 out of 14, I think). But there was a day that he took out the pool with the computer and did not take it ... That week he would have gotten a hit of 14 out of 14 XD.

Fede Jerez is an invaluable member of the SPA2 team. He is a major driving force behind this site and has lately recovered unthinkable stuff. Many jewels from him are awaiting in our backlog (as you can see in our backlog search engine). He has also provided us with invaluable assets from other colleagues, such as Ardraven, AMG or Manuel Sánchez.
Here is a small update as a glimpse of his work- it includes a few very remarkable findings that have already been released through our friend site El Trastero del Spectrum. Among them, the uMIA Exterminator, an unknown opus by JA Morales and Carlos Díaz, as well as Delta's elusive Legend, which was incomplete (the introduction was lost), and a handful of +3 disks that were, for different reasons, very difficult to preserve.
Update contents:
Almost two years later, a new update is finally here - a much massive one indeed. Some entries preserved throughout 2020 and 2021 have been added. Besides, many Spanish homebrew titles from the last 10 years are finally part of our archive. For the latter, we stand on the wonderful work done around ZXDB. A very warm Thank you! to Einar Saukas and all the team that makes it possible.
Please bear in mind that we added as well a brand new backlog search engine. By means of it, you will be able to know at any time if this or that tape/disc that does not appear in the SPA2 lists is already preserved, even if it is not yet published.
As always, a lot of information that has been integrated remains behind the scenes since we are still anchored to our old web frontend. In due course, this work will bear much more tangible results. Our next goal is to fully integrate with ZXDB. Many good things are yet to come!
Thank you for your support and patience!

Miguel A. G. Prada has developed a handy list of what's to appear in the next SPA2 update (including TZXs, DSKs, TAPs and snapshots). The list is hosted at Google Docs and linked both from the Archive! section and also from here.
¡Hasta pronto!
Although SPA2 was born on Sept 15th 2002, it's been more than 8 years of continued work to reach the current state. It's been a thrilling experience, and I've been fortunate to meet very generous people along the way. SPA2 is possible thanks to the kind collaboration of hundreds of people -you-, who put their time and illusion for free into this *your* project.
During the last three years, three good friends -Josetxu Malanda, Javier Vispe and Juanje Gómez- have been welcome aboard into the SPA2 team. They are working hard into a complete site redesign. Hopefully, someday you will enjoy it as I'm doing - in fact I'm very excited about their present accomplishments.
Today, SPA2 is closing a stage - its first one. Due to strictly personal reasons, I must inform you that I am performing a Quirkafleeg, eerm, a full stop, since right now. This will imply the inexistence of updates -or any other kind of activity on my part- until the second half of 2011. It is a necessary but temporal stop, and I'd like to remark that it's not linked at all to any boredom or sense of project fulfillment. Indeed and surprisingly, not even the half of the titles (re-)released in Spain have been fully preserved. There is a very long and exciting road ahead, and I hope we'll drive it through together.
I would like to publicly express my ethernal gratitude to all the people who helped me through this first stage. Much specially, I would like to mention my dear friends José Manuel Claros and Martijn van der Heide, who have been more than fathers for this project, and also the wonderful S3P and WOS Preservation teams. Please count with my sincere and deepest admiration, respect and friendship. I would also like to mention all the people who provided files to SPA2 during this time. Please accept my apologies for the unwanted but unavoidable usual oversights:

SPA2 *is* you.
This is a temporal goodbye, but nonetheless, one with a strong project continuity commitment. Thus let me strongly encourage you to keep sending your contributions, be it either through the upload form of World of Spectrum or through the usual e-mail address:
Every contribution will be carefully archived so that they can be processed once the project is back, hopefully during the second semester of 2011. In the meanwhile, they will be seeing the light of day through the usual publication paths - the scans will be available on World of Spectrum, and the relevant TZXs through the frequent updates of El Trastero del Spectrum.
Let me finish expressing my gratitude to all of you for your patience and support, as well as for keeping your hopes up during the forthcoming months.
See you soon!
Warmest regards,
Juan

Fixed a smallish bug in the lists generator.
As part of the celebrations for our partner site's birthday ("The World of Spectrum"), and taking into account the long wait since our last update, we have decided to issue a new update. This will work as a bridge or transition before the release of the new SPA2. By doing so, we prove that the project keeps alive. Also, we take the opportunity to happily announce that the wait will come to an end sometime soon... :-)

This update is dedicated in memory of Javier Vispe's father.
We hope you enjoy the update, and we thank you all for making this possible through your strong commitment and patience with our/your project.
See you soon,

SPA2 celebrates fifth birthday!
It was a day like this, back in 2002, when SPA2 was born. It was conceived as a project to archive every Spanish TZX spread all over the Internet, as well as to be the main entrance door for these dumps into the fabulous site World of Spectrum. Five years later, we are proud to say that the total number of preserved Spanish releases is almost five times larger. The support we received from the community was simply overwhelming - even more than we could have ever dreamt.
It is also very obvious that it's been a very long time since the last update. We are perfectly aware that this could give the false impression that we have been wasting our time in real life during these two years. We haven't - and neither have you. It is fantastic that after all this time you keep sending excellent stuff to us - all this stuff will be available in the imminent new site update.
Adapt or die, says the lemma. Well, we are not very interested in dying. So we can only hope that, once the update sees the light of day, you also think that the change was worthwhile waiting.
Thanks to all the community for your cooperation, support and patience. May we celebrate many more birthdays together!
Cheers,
The SPA2 Team
Time for a new update!: Update20050828.txt.
We sincerely wish the delay since the previous update (more than 10 months!) hasn't be much discouraging for any of you. As you see, we can offer you the most massive update ever, and the site is going through several internal changes which are very time-consuming for us but will enhance your experience visiting this site. We hope you think it was worth the wait once they see the light of day.
Since we have around 180Mb of new scans, you'll have to download them by yourself. Mind you, we can offer you all the tape and disk images and snapshots compressed in a zip, as usual:

Kind regards,

In order to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary (was past 15th September) we're proud to introduce you the new update of SPA2, which brings some interesting novelties.
This is the content of the update: Update20041023.txt
By now you should have noticed (if looked to the textfile above) that SPA2 now supports TAP images, as well as snapshots in format Z80. This is a major change, but the goal remains the same: we strive for getting perfect images for every Speccy program released in Spain. So, whenever you find a TAP or Z80 file in this site, you'll find a small icon next to it, showing a cassette crossed out. That will most likely mean that we're still in need of a TZX image (if you can't see any identical entry, without the icon, just above or below, then that's certainly the case!).
Additionally, we have widened the scope of the project. Now we don't just look for comercially released programs, but we also store programs which were home-made or made public domain in the time they were developed. In this case, of course, we only focus on programs developed in Spain or other Spanish-speaking countries. That's one of the main reasons to accept the formats TAP, Z80 as valid, as some of these programs are very difficult to find and in some cases we may never get a perfect image for them.
Hope the news are interesting for you. These are the newest tapes, disks and snapshots (click to download):
![]() Tapes: TZX (~13 Mb) |
![]() Tapes: TAP (~6.5 Mb) |
![]() Snapshots (~850 Kb) |
![]() +3 Disks (32 Kb) |
Kind regards,
Juan (Webmaster of SPA2)
Ignacio Prini (Rdisky), a very well-known person in the Speccy scene (thanks to his productive collaboration with MicroHobby), has asked us to announce a couple of new Sinclair-related CDs that he has compiled. Those CDs are full of interesting info about the Spectrum in Spain and the ZX81 among a lot of other things (no Speccy programs or emulators, sorry!). You can find more specific information here (the site is in Spanish):
Rdisky CD Collection - Contents and general info
Moreover, we'd like to take this opportunity to refer to a new version of the emulator for Linux fbZX, developed by Sergio Costas, as well as to advance you that a cool new Java emulator is on the way, developed by Alberto Sánchez (more news soon).
Happy New Year everyone! We're proud to announce another massive update; nonetheless, we've got more than 50Mb of new instruction scans! Of course, there are tons of new TZX images and inlay scans too. You can check out what's new in the textfile referred below.

It's never too late, not even for SPA2 ;-), as we're proud to announce our largest update to date. Due to the high amount of new inlay and instructions scans (40Mb instructions + 15Mb inlays), however, we cannot include the usual zipfiles which contained all the scans. Nevertheless, we've attached our well-known text file, in order to let you check out what's new.

Hi everybody! Here you have the result of some hard work done during the last months. There's a lot to improve in the site (apart from my English), but somehow I am confident that you'll enjoy your visit. Please feel free to contact me for any relevant question, especially if you're one of the authors/copyright holders of these programs.
Firstly, I'd like to take this oportunity to thank José Manuel Claros, Martijn van der Heide, Santiago Romero and Steve Brown for making this possible. I'd also like to thank Andy Barker and some good friends who allowed me to 'exploit' their sites to improve the result of this project: Horace, ICE Knight, Karnevi, Juan Domingo, Metsuke and Miguel Barrio. And the people at es.comp.sistemas.sinclair for their patience and support.
